75 years ago, on this day, India won its independence. The sacrifices of numerous freedom fighters ranging from Mangal Pandey to Mahatma Gandhi including stalwarts like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, VO Chidambaram Pillai, K Madhavan Nair and so many others. To keep the national flag flying, we have had so many of our soldiers, sailors and airmen sacrificing their lives. 1947-48, 1962, 1967, 1971, 1999 and the Insurgency and terrorism in the Northeast, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir have given an opportunity to our citizens the honour to keep our flag flying high. The contributions of our scientists, engineers, artists, foreign service stalwarts, bureaucrats, sportspersons and statesmen has been commendable. Indus International Research Foundation wishes all countrymen a wonderful 75th Year of Independence. We eagerly look forward to our nations progress and contribution to peace and prosperity for every one in this world. Jai Hind.
