Mr. Priyan R. Naik graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, (BITS) Pilani and is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Calcutta.
Mr Naik superannuated as the Director (Defence) and Member, Board of Directors of BEML Limited, a Government of India Mini Ratna Company under the Ministry of Defence. Earlier with Larsen & Toubro, Mr Naik was the Chief of Product Support for L&T and Komatsu Japan. With stints at L&T Infotech and at Sargent & Lundy LLC, a Chicago, USA based Power consultancy organization, he has a proven track record of success.
Mr Naik is currently Adjunct Faculty : [1] St Joseph's College, [2] St Joseph's College - Pondicherry University - TWINNING Program, [3] Sacred Hearts Degree College for Women, [4] Bangalore University - Canara Bank School of Management Studies and [5] HAL Management Academy, Marathahalli; where he teaches MBA and MCom students.
Mr Naik is on the Advisory Board of Equipment Times, the No 1 Magazine in the CE Industry. He extensively authors articles in news dailies including the Hindu, Deccan Herald , Hindustan Times, Navhind Times, Daily Star of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Ceylon Today of Colombo, Srilanka, Hindu Business Line, PowerGen Asia, Outsourcing2India, IT Asia, Singapore and Asian Electricity, United Kingdom. He is a keynote speaker at CII conferences, consultative workshops, at IT conventions and seminars.
In his spare time he loves to read and travel and attempts to keep fit through golf, swimming and brisk walks.
