Dr. Alka is a Professor at Amity International Business School, Amity University, Noida. She is a Computer Science Graduate and has done her Maters in International Business from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. Her area of specialization is International Business and she is engaged in teaching subjects like WTO, Global Business Management, Trade Logistics and documentation, Managing Business in Emerging Markets to post graduate students. She has over 20 years of experience in teaching, research and consulting. During her last assignment with the Plastics Export Promotion Council (Plexconcil) as Dy. Director she worked on number of projects for promoting exports of plastic products from India. She conducted training programs on “Exporting Plastic Products from India” and “Foreign Trade Policy” during her tenure at Plexconcil. While working with National Centre for Trade Information (NCTI), a UN designated Trade Point in India, she prepared several market and product feasibility reports for Ministry of Commerce, Export Promotion Councils, Trade Promotion Organisations, MNCs and SMEs.
