India has long-standing border disputes with the northern neighbour China. The rivalry between two nuclear-armed countries which are both regional powers is also seen as a global flashpoint.The recent attack with stones and clubs by the Chinese Army at the border in the Galwan Valley in theLadakh region of India has once again highlighted the tensions.
